What is fiscal sponsorship?
Fiscal sponsorship refers to the practice of non-profit organizations offering their legal & tax-exempt status to groups (called projects) engaged in activities related to the sponsor's mission.
In other words, fiscal sponsorship allows organizations that are not 501(c)3s receive charitable funds (such as donations and grants) through a fiscal sponsor.
P4E provides fiscal sponsorship to projects based in Durham, NC and surrounding counties that align with our mission such as:
- Higher Education for Undocumented, DACAmented, and TPS youth
- Food Equity/Insecurity Initiatives
- Healing and Wellness rooted in Mental Health Initiatives
- LGBT+Q Youth
- Financial education and wealth building for marginalized groups
